Brian Lewis

    Brian Lewis went home to be with the Lord on Aug. 26, 2019, after a long illness.
    Brian was living with his beloved father, Conrad Lewis, and his sister, Sheila K. Lewis in Henrietta, N.Y.
Other family members include a daughter, Lynn L. Lewis and her son, brothers Robert (Margaret) Lewis and Vaughn (Jodi) Lewis, two paternal aunts, Anne Lawther and Judy Gatti, maternal aunts Shirley McKin and Emily (Dean) Shaffer and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
   Brian was predeceased by his mother, Anita Roberts Lewis, his grandparents, Emerson and Helen Lewis and Joseph and Lila Roberts and two aunts Dorothy Lewis Frey and Sue Lewis Shepard. He is also preseceased by two uncles, Lewis and Elwin Roberts.

Robert William Lawson, III

  Robert William Lawson, III of Columbia Cross Roads passed away unexpectedly at his residence July 22, 2019. He was 38 years of age. Born in Sayre September 18, 1980, he was the son of the late Robert W Lawson, Jr and Rosemary  (Talada) Lawson. Bobby attended the Canton Area schools where he played Junior High football, and during high school served as manager of the football and basketball teams. He graduated Canton Area High School with the class of 2000. Bobby also played baseball for 15 years as part of the Challenger League. He enjoyed many special field trips to New York City and was awarded several ribbons in the Special Olympics. Bobby was also an avid bowler and enjoyed the fellowship of his team mates at the Martha Lloyd School. He also enjoyed fishing and watching NASCAR with his uncle. Most importantly, Bobby knew his Savior. He was a part of the Christian fellowship at Calvary Alliance Chapel just north of Canton, and was always ready to help with Vacation Bible School, or in any other capacity.
  Bobby is survived by his mother, Rosemary, of West Burlington, his sister Amy Gilliland of Columbia Cross Roads, Uncles Butch and Kathy Talada of Elmira, Bill & Judy Talada of Waverly, aunts Pat & Mike Vanderpool of Athens, Linda & John Smith of Candor, NY,  Carrie & Tim Stroker of Milan, Tina Talada of Rome, Pa., Wilma Lawson of Waverly, Fran Tully of Waverly, Helen & Mike Phillips of Elmira, Dorothy Lawson of MO., Special friends Tracy and Tom Froelich, Bob Woodward, Thad & Sheila Woodward, Doug Leivy, Judy Dole, Kathy Benjamin and Matthew Campbell as well as many cousins. He was preceded in death by grandparents Robert and Beryl Lawson, Albert Talada, Lillian Stroud, step-grandfather Howard Stroud, father Robert W. Lawson, Jr. brother-in-law Ron West and uncles Charles Lawson and Robert Talada.
​   A celebration of Bobby's life will be held 1 o'clock P.M. August 17, 2019 at Calvary Alliance Chapel with Pastor John Isher officiating. Ivan Lutz

  Ivan Lutz, 74, of Towanda, Pa. formerly of Spring City, Pa., passed away on Thursday morning, Dec. 13, 2018 at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre.  Ivan Clayton Lutz was born July 8, 1944 in Towanda, Pa., a son of the late Elmer and Olive (Quick) Lutz.  After graduating from Troy High School in 1962, he served our country during the Vietnam War as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army. On July 17,1970, Ivan married the former Elizabeth “Betty” Lytle in Graterford, Pa. Ivan enjoyed his career’s work in the construction trades and was an accomplished stone mason and brick layer.  He loved reading and was an avid outdoorsman, especially hunting and fishing.  In earlier years, Ivan was very active in 4-H with his children; participating in many shows at area fairs.

Marian Reese Lindquist

   Marian Reese Lindquist, age 90, of Blossburg, wife of the late Robert Lindquist, has gone to be with her family that has gone before her on Dec. 9, 2018, while surrounded by her loving family.
   She was born in Blossburg to the late David and Jeanette (Haddow) Reese.
  She graduated in 1946 from the former Blossburg High School. She was employed over 40 years by Ward Manufacturing as an office employee.
​   She had been a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church, Blossburg also lifelong member of Arnot Sportsman Club, Hillside Rod and Gun and, Veterans of Foreign Wars Supreme Sacrifice Post #8730, Auxiliary. She was also auxiliary member of William B. Wilson American Legion Post#572, Blossburg and Theodore Roosevelt American Legion Post#167, Morris Run.

Marion E. Mingos Luckey

 Marion E. (Mingos) Luckey, 93 of Troy, Pa., went to be with her Lord on Sunday, Nov. 25, 2018 from the Bradford County Manor. She was the loving wife of the late Charles W. Luckey, Sr., who passed away Jan. 8, 2009.  The couple married Jan. 12, 1946 and had 61 happy years together.
​  Marion was born on Oct. 24, 1925 in Athens, Pa., daughter of the late James and May (Wandell) Mingos and grew up in Luther’s Mills, Pa. She was a long time member of the East Troy Baptist Church where she served as a Deacon and Sunday School teacher.  Marion also belonged to the American Baptist Women of East Troy Baptist and held several positions including treasurer in that group. She was also a member of the East Troy Baptist Ladies Aid. One of Marion’s passions was genealogy. She was a member of the Troy Genealogical Society and Elder Guild of Bradford County. Marion was a member and volunteer of the Bradford County Heritage Association.  She enjoyed writing poems, crocheting, doing crossword puzzles, and putting together jigsaw puzzles.

Oliver Clinton Lutz

   On the morning of Saturday, September 8th, 2018, Oliver Clinton Lutz of Troy passed away quietly at the Memorial Hospital Skilled Nursing Unit in Towanda.  He was 89 years of age. 
   Born December 21st, 1928 in the town of Delaware, NJ, he was the son of Elmer and Olive (Quick) Lutz.  He was the husband of the former Elizabeth Kuhnle, and together they raised four children.    
​  Oliver was a man with a strong work ethic.  Over the years he was employed at the Troy milk plant and later the Columbia Crossroads milk plant.  Eventually he owned and operated his own dairy farm and whitewashed barn interiors in his spare time.  Oliver was a man with an abiding faith in the Lord, and he shared that faith with his community when he became a lay minister.  He also enjoyed the company of friends, and for several years  hosted a Tuesday morning coffee klatch  for his friends and neighbors.

John Liddic

John Liddic, 74, Canton, was called to Heaven from his home while surrounded by loved ones early Wednesday August 29, 2018.
    John Edward was born August 8, 1944, in Williamsport, a son of the late John L. and Jane (Eyer) Liddic.  
    He was a graduate of Williamsport High School.  John enjoyed his career as a machinist; first with the former Schrader-Bellows Co. in Canton and later for Textron Lycoming until retirement.
    On June 28, 1985, he married the former Bartha deBruin in the Grover Church of Christ.
     John was a devoted family man who cherished his children and grandchildren.  He will always be remembered for his amazing, heart-felt insights; if he had something to say, it was worth listening to.  
    John also was blessed with a great sense of humor.  His hobbies included many outdoor activities; hunting in the earlier years and later lots of fishing and camping.  He enjoyed fishing tournaments in the NY Finger Lakes area and camping, especially at Clute Park near Watkins Glen where he made many friends.
     John was a member of the Grover Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ.      
    In addition to Bartha, his beloved wife of 33 years, surviving are two daughters, Evonne Wilcox of Bradford County Manor and Natalie (Tim) Salsman of Laceyville;  grandchildren, Samantha, Trena and Macey; two brothers-in-law, several sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends; also his faithful companion, "Brit-Brit" his dog.

Marlene Leiby

   Marlene Leiby, 83, of Jacksonville died Aug. 10, 2018, at her home.
  Preceded in death by her father, Charles Elton Andrus; mother, Josephine Edna Mae Porter; and sister, Joan Arlene Andrus.
  She is survived by her brother, Jack Andrus; son, Mick Leiby; daughter, Tracey Tate; grandchildren, Derek, Devon, Peyton and Peipher Leiby; and great-grandson, Wyatt Leiby.
    She was known to many as the lady with the puppets at Walmart, where she worked for 20 years. She was a kind and loving mother and friend; she will be missed
​     A memorial service will be held in Troy at a later date.

Bruce Lent Jr.

    Bruce Lent Jr., 81, Bentley Creek, passed away Monday, July 23, 2018.
    Bruce was born in Troy on August 27, 1936 the son of Bruce P. Lent and Beatrice Berry Lent.
    He was a graduate of Troy High School and later served in the U.S. Navy. 
    On December 25, 1956, Bruce married Claudette M. Hendershot at the North Towanda United Methodist Church and they enjoyed many happy years together until her passing on May 10, 2017.
    Bruce was formerly employed by Westinghouse in Horseheads, NY, McClain Construction and Welliver Construction.  
    Bruce enjoyed the outdoors, cutting wood, gardening, walking, hunting, and attending tractor pulls. 
     He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather and will also be remembered as a hard worker his entire life.
