Marion was born on Oct. 24, 1925 in Athens, Pa., daughter of the late James and May (Wandell) Mingos and grew up in Luther’s Mills, Pa. She was a long time member of the East Troy Baptist Church where she served as a Deacon and Sunday School teacher. Marion also belonged to the American Baptist Women of East Troy Baptist and held several positions including treasurer in that group. She was also a member of the East Troy Baptist Ladies Aid. One of Marion’s passions was genealogy. She was a member of the Troy Genealogical Society and Elder Guild of Bradford County. Marion was a member and volunteer of the Bradford County Heritage Association. She enjoyed writing poems, crocheting, doing crossword puzzles, and putting together jigsaw puzzles.
Family and friends called from 9:30-11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 30, 2018 at the East Troy Baptist Church, 9551 Route 6, Troy, Pa. The funeral service to honor Marion’s life will be held at the conclusion of the viewing at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 30 at the church with Rev. Ozzie Osgood and Rev. Garry Zuber officiating. Burial will follow in Bradford County Memorial Park. The Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 1093 West Main St., Troy, Pa. has been entrusted with the arrangements.
