Chad Harold Belcher

     Chad Harold Belcher,  22, Wyalusing, passed away very suddenly and unexpectedly on Friday evening Jan. 29, 2016.
    Chad was born in Kingston,PA on April 30, 1993, the son of Jack S. Belcher Jr.,  Wyalusing with whom he lived with, and Iris May-Spencer, Bentley Creek.
     He was a graduate of Wyalusing Valley High School with the Class of 2011 and was also enrolled at the Northern Tier Career Center in Towanda, Pa. where he took auto body courses.
    On May 31, 2013 he married the former Samantha Ferguson. Chad worked for the former Whipple Bros. Lumber of Laceyville as a truck driver. He also worked for Mountain Lake Construction, Pork Allen & Josh Nickeson Logging and Excel Warehousing.
    Chad was a member of the Wyalusing United Methodist Church. While in high school Chad was a member of the Wyalusing wrestling team.
    He was a man of many interests, mostly he was interested with anything with a motor. He enjoyed go-cart racing, working on cars and his dirt bike.

Donna DeHaas

    Donna DeHaas, 73,  Canton,  and formerly of Rummerfield, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, January 28, 2016.
    Donna Marie was born in Fitchburg, Mass. on October 11, 1942. She was a daughter of the late Eugene and Betty (Franklin) Lehto and a 1960 graduate of Towanda High School.  Donna then studied to become a LPN and later earned an Associates degree in Accounting.  
    Family and home came first in Donna’s life and her favorite times were always shared with loved ones.   She also enjoyed bowling, fishing and just being outdoors in the beauty of nature.  Her family extends a grateful thank you to her wonderful caretakers Pam Owen and Carol Lash also to Guthrie Hospice nurses Connie McClure and Bobbi Thuotte.

Julia Anna Cox
    A memorial service will be held for Julia Anna Cox, 62, who died on December 28, 2015.
     Family invites friends to call 10 – noon, Saturday, January 30, at Pepper Funeral Home, 578 Springbrook Dr., Canton. A memorial service to celebrate her life will follow at 12 noon.
    Interment will be in Spencer cemetery in Union Twp. (Tioga Co.)

Charles Finogle

     On the morning of January 28th, 2016,  longtime Canton resident Charles Finogle passed away quietly at Troy Community Hospital.  He was 84 years of age.  
    Born April 28th, 1931 in Dorrance, PA, he was the son of Arthur and Ethel (Baker) Finogle.
  During his working life Charles was employed as a farm hand in Tioga County and later as an employee of the Canton Borough Street Department.

Nelle Jean Owen

     Nelle Jean Owen, 73, Canton, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre.
    Nelle Jean was born in Canton on January 12, 1943, a daughter of the late Edward Owen and Harriett (Miller) Bower.
    She was a 1960 graduate of Canton High School and later studied at the Jean Summers Business School in Elmira.  Nelle Jean was employed several years with Canton’s Parker Hannifin Corp. before retiring.  In earlier years, she worked at the Ampex Corp, U.S. Merchant and Marine Academy and the Kings Point Sewing Factory.
     Nelle Jean was always one to stay busy and had many interests and hobbies.  She was a good cook.  She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, cross-stitch and she played many a game of Euchre and Cribbage with family and friends. Nelle Jean also loved to go camping and was a talented bowler.  For over 24 years she coached bowling to kids.  
    Most important to Nelle Jean was spending time with her family and every Thanksgiving was a very special blessing.   In earlier years she was a member of Grover’s St. John’s United Methodist Church.

    "Sunshine fades and shadows fall, but Sweet remembrance outlasts all….. " William “Bud” I. Secules, 73, long time resident of Towanda PA, passed away unexpectedly the morning of January 26, 2016 at his winter home in Zellwood FL.  
     Bud was born October 27, 1942 in Sayre PA, the son of the late Leonard & Madeline Secules.   Bud was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother.  He enjoyed spending time attending sporting events cheering on his grandchildren, attending family functions & spending time with numerous friends during the summers at Seneca Lake and at his winter home in Florida.  Bud touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all.

     John T Williammee III was born December 14, 1933 and died January 26, 2016.  He was born and raised in north central Pennsylvania and lived in Melbourne Beach, FL for 38 years. 
    He graduated from Canton High School in 1951.
    John graduated from Penn State with a degree in electrical engineering in 1956 and Drexel University with an MBA in 1959.  He founded Beacon Electronics, an electronic sales representative company, and Component Distributors Inc.

Robert J. "Bob" McDermott

    Robert J. "Bob" McDermott,  94, Milan (nearly his lifelong home) passed away on Jan. 21, 2016 at the Athens Health and Rehabilitation Center, Athens. He was born March 14, 1921 at the Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, Pa., the son of Peter and Blanche (Houseweart) McDermott. He was the second of six children, three boys and three girls.
    His father predeceased him in 1955, mother in 1966, oldest brother Joseph in 1963, and youngest brother Donald in 1988, along with Joseph's wife, Eva and Donald's wife Janet and the sad loss of two infant sisters that joined the angels shortly after birth at the Robert Packer Hospital, Geraldine Marie in 1926 and Beatrice Mary in 1928. Most recently, he lost his nephew Kerry Jackson in July of 2012 and his brother-in-law Ben Jackson on Dec. 30, 2015.
    Bob is survived by his sister Regina Jackson, Columbia Cross Roads (Wetona), Pa. Also surviving are his niece Susan Jackson; nephew Gary McDermott; nephew and his wife David and Sandy Jackson; nephew and his wife Daniel and Michelle Jackson; niece Cathleen Evangelista; and nephew and his wife Dean and Rebecca Jackson; and 16 great-nieces and great-nephews, which includes Bob's great niece, Christy, who was a special caregiver to him.

James Clarence Patton

     On Jan. 20, 2016 James Clarence Patton Jr., age 81, of Mt. Lake, Pa. went home to be with his Lord and Savior. He was born on April 5, 1934 in Noxen, PA, the son of the late James and Soloma Hackling Patton.
    James was employed with GTE on 2nd shift as a Tungsten Supervisor for 28 years. He also owned and operated a beef, dairy, and hog farm on Mountain Lake, Bradford County, Pa. He married the former Anna Laura Roman in 1959. He took great interest in studying and sharing God's word. He took great pleasure in helping with Hunts for Healing, attending Pow-Wow Festivals, and natural healing. James enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, baseball, and was an avid history buff. In later years he used his interest to share his love for Jesus. He was a very personable man, loving and generous. He was a father figure to many people he met. One of his greatest loves was his grandchildren.

Judy Crawford

     On the morning of Monday, January  11th, 2016, Judy  Yvonne Crawford of Canton passed away quietly at her residence following a courageous battle with cancer.  She was 47 years of age.  Born October 31st, 1968 in Elmira, she was the daughter of the late Dean Crawford and Kimberly (Carr) Crawford.  She was employed for many years at Canton Manufacturing as a machine operator.
    Surviving are her mother, Kimberly, and sons Jon and Jared (Katelyn) Crawford, all of Canton, brothers Charles Surine and Robert Hurlburt, sisters Diane Van Buren, Jean Smith and Clara (& Harry) Buck.  In keeping with the family’s wishes all services are private.     www.morseandkleesefuneralhome.com
