Donna DeHaas

    Donna DeHaas, 73,  Canton,  and formerly of Rummerfield, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, January 28, 2016.
    Donna Marie was born in Fitchburg, Mass. on October 11, 1942. She was a daughter of the late Eugene and Betty (Franklin) Lehto and a 1960 graduate of Towanda High School.  Donna then studied to become a LPN and later earned an Associates degree in Accounting.  
    Family and home came first in Donna’s life and her favorite times were always shared with loved ones.   She also enjoyed bowling, fishing and just being outdoors in the beauty of nature.  Her family extends a grateful thank you to her wonderful caretakers Pam Owen and Carol Lash also to Guthrie Hospice nurses Connie McClure and Bobbi Thuotte.

      Surviving is her devoted companion of 27 years, John Miller, Canton; children; Melody (Kevin) Barnes of Roaring Branch and Dawn DeHaas of California, seven grandchildren; Carissa, Cameron and Gabriella DeHaas, Kevin (Bobbi) Barnes II, Kyle, John and Tristen Barnes; seven great grandchildren; nieces and nephews, Penney  and Julie Sick, Suzi and Sean Ahlmeyer, Mike Lehto Jr, Mary Lehto Tobin, Laurie Lehto Brown; twin sister and brothers; Diane Sick, Ken Lehto both of California, Larry Lehto of Colorado and Mike (Liz) Lehto of Florida, also several great nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews and cousins.  
    She was predeceased by her husband, William Roy DeHaas II,; sister, Sharon Lehto, brother Robert Franklin Lehto, and  nephew, Charles Sick.
     In keeping with Donna’s wishes there will be no public services.  Consider a memorial to a charity of one’s choice in her memory.  Pepper Funeral Home, Canton is assisting her family with arrangements.  Share condolences at   www.pepperfuneralhomes.com
