John Liddic

John Liddic, 74, Canton, was called to Heaven from his home while surrounded by loved ones early Wednesday August 29, 2018.
John Edward was born August 8, 1944, in Williamsport, a son of the late John L. and Jane (Eyer) Liddic.
He was a graduate of Williamsport High School.  John enjoyed his career as a machinist; first with the former Schrader-Bellows Co. in Canton and later for Textron Lycoming until retirement.
On June 28, 1985, he married the former Bartha deBruin in the Grover Church of Christ.
John was a devoted family man who cherished his children and grandchildren.  He will always be remembered for his amazing, heart-felt insights; if he had something to say, it was worth listening to.
John also was blessed with a great sense of humor.  His hobbies included many outdoor activities; hunting in the earlier years and later lots of fishing and camping.  He enjoyed fishing tournaments in the NY Finger Lakes area and camping, especially at Clute Park near Watkins Glen where he made many friends.
John was a member of the Grover Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ.
In addition to Bartha, his beloved wife of 33 years, surviving are two daughters, Evonne Wilcox of Bradford County Manor and Natalie (Tim) Salsman of Laceyville;  grandchildren, Samantha, Trena and Macey; two brothers-in-law, several sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends; also his faithful companion, "Brit-Brit" his dog.

He was predeceased by his parents; brother, Calvin “Sonny” Liddic; uncle and aunt, Cleon and Veda Clees.
Funeral services were held  Sept. 1, at Pepper Funeral Home & Cremation Facility, Canton with Pastor Will Strunk officiating.
Burial will be private at a later date.
Consider a donation in John’s memory to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s PA Chapter, 1501 Reedsdale St. Suite 105 Pittsburgh PA 15233
