William H. “Bill” Miller, 70, of Troy Heights, passed away on his birthday, March 3, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of Nina L. (Comfort) Miller.  The couple married Sept. 5, 1998 and had 15 happy years together.
Family and friends are welcome to call from 9:30-11:00 am on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Troy, 579 Canton Street, Troy.  The celebration of his life will follow the visitation at the church at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 7th with his pastor, Rev. Garry Zuber officiating.
Military honors will be given by US Army Honor Guard out of Horseheads, NY and the Troy Veterans Honor Guard. The Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 1093 West Main Street Troy, has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Bill was born on March 3, 1945 in Elmira, New York, son of the late Jess B. Miller and Marjorie (Haskell) Miller-Johnson.  He was a US Army veteran, serving his country in the Viet Nam War.  Bill enjoyed selling cars.  He was a car salesman for several automobile dealerships in the area including Eighmey Buick where he was working for the past few years.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Troy and the Wednesday Night Bowling League at Terrace Lanes in Troy.  Bill was a collector.  He enjoyed NASCAR, Penn State, and the New England Patriots and collected all kinds of memorabilia from them.  He liked to watch “Pickers” on television because he was a collector just like the men on the show.  He also enjoyed traveling and spending time at Keuka Lake.  Moreover, Bill was a family man who enjoyed spending time with his children and especially his grandchildren.
Bill is survived by his wife Nina, his son William H. (Treena) Miller, II of Spring Lake, PA, his step children: Tammy Barton and companion Mike Ward of Pine City, NY, William (Crystal) Leff of Cochranville, PA, Scott (Tammy) Leff of Bentley Creek, Sherri (Rimon) Armaly of Mundelein, IL, Kevin (Brenda) Hicks of Columbia Cross Roads, Mike (Candice) Hicks of Oneonta, AL, and Leslie (Bill) Ellsworth of Troy, his grandchildren: J.D. Andrea, Meagan, Will, Desiree’, Kate, Taylor, Tyson, Israel, Yedideyah, Benjamin, Sadie, and Brooke,  his seven great grandchildren, his sister Martha (Ted) Grinell of Horseheads, NY, along with several nieces and nephews.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents.
Contributions may be made in Bill’s memory to the First Baptist Church of Troy 579 Canton Street, Troy, PA 16947 or to the American Cancer Society 1316 College Avenue Elmira, NY14901.
