Born June 29, 1927 at the family home in Canton Township, Wilbur was a twin child of the late Willard Judson and Lena (Williams) Morse.
He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Army. On May 14, 1948 he married the former Marjorie “Marge” Rolison at her family’s home in Troy.
They were blessed with four children and shared nearly 70 years together.
Wilbur enjoyed his work as a heavy equipment operator and crew foreman. He was employed by Lloyd Herman Construction, PennDOT, Jones & Brague Mining and retired from Canton Township.
In addition to his wife Marjorie, surviving are their children: Judy (John) Banks, Henderson, NV, Linda Avery, Goose Creek, SC, Vickie Byko, Clemson, SC and Jim Morse, Canton; five grandchildren; Marla (Teddy) Harvey, Ridgeville, SC, Beth (Nick) Crofut, Grand Ledge, MI, John (Asha) Bagley, Fort Collins, CO, Amanda (Daniel) Spencer, Seneca, SC and Jami Morse, Goose Creek, SC; also six great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his twin sister; Winifred Morse; sister, Mary DePew and son-in-law; Gary F. Avery.
At Wilbur’s request, there will be no services. Burial will be private at Beech Flats Cemetery. Donations in Wilbur’s memory can be made to Bradford County Manor’s Activity Fund at 15900 Route 6 Troy PA 16947.
