Known to family and friends as Bea, she was born January 8th, 1937 at her family’s Ellenton Mountain dairy farm and was the daughter of Robert and Elsie (Dickerson) Bagley.
She went on to have a long career as a secretary, paralegal and personal assistant in Washington D.C. with AMTRAK, The American Bankers Association and at the Pentagon. She returned home to the mountains upon the death of her father in 1989.
Bea had an undeniable love for God and music. She played piano and organ at her church for many years, as well as singing with the church’s trio.
She is survived by her daughters Karen Bagley Jennings of Sullivan, OH, Nancy Bagley of Fredericksburg, VA, Roberta Bagley Barrows (& John) of Colorado and Brenda Bagley Rezvan of Rixeyville, VA, grandchildren Melissa Jennings (& Chris), Kristina Jennings-Fetterman (& Mark), Richard Samuel Brantley, Nathaniel Brantley, Aleana Marie, Tomas M. Kuhn, Nikolas Bagley and Savhana Thurlow; great-grandchildren Carson, Lincoln, Westin, Francesca Lynn, Connor, Mason and Vivian.
Visitation followed by a celebration of Bea’s life took place at the Ellenton Chapel in the village of Ellenton (McNett Township) on Ellenton Mountain Road on Tuesday, May 30th, with the Rev. Jerry Schmidt officiating. Interment followed in Ellenton Cemetery. (morseandkleesefuneralhome.com)
