On August 9th, 2016, Canton resident Wayne H. McPherson passed away unexpectedly at his residence. He was 55 years of age.
Born in Collegeville, PA, he was the son of Paul and Alice (Smith) McPherson.
Throughout most of Wayne’s life he was a carpenter, and was handy at all manner of woodwork. Known to his beloved grandchildren as “Poppy,” they were the center of his life, and he cherished the many hours of “sandbox time” and swimming that he spent with them.
Wayne is survived by daughters Elysee McPherson (& Dusty Burr), LeRoy, and Lucy McPherson, Warren, VT; brothers Paul (& Hope) McPherson, Schwenksville, PA, and James (& Jodi) McPherson, Canton; sisters Debbie McPherson, Montgomery County and Sherry Hazlett, Schwenksville as well as grandchildren Trapper and Hunter Burr, and soon-to-arrive Baby Burr.
In keeping with the family’s wishes, there are no calling hours and all services are private.
