Tom was born March 7, 1944, a son of the late Carl William and Mary Helen Thayer Fritsch. He graduated from St. Basil's High School, a member of the class of 1962. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam from 1965 to 1967. Returning home, he married the former Mary Margaret "Mimi" Lang on March 7, 1970. Tom began working for Proctor & Gamble and retired in July of 1997 after 30 years of service.
Tom was a member of St. Basil's Church in Dushore and a member of McDermott Post No. 452 American Legion, Mildred, Pa.; the White Ash Land Association; and the Dushore Fire Co. No. 1. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed being with his grandchildren and attending soccer games. He was a Cub Scout leader and also enjoyed watching his grandchildren participate in various sports events. He also enjoyed attending the Troy Fair and seeing all the animals.
He was predeceased by brothers, Carl Fritsch of Ulster, Pa., and David Fritsch of Mildred, Pa.
A Transferal Service was held March 12, at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, Dushore, PA and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial. at St. Basil's Church, Dushore, Pa., with the Rev. Richard Rojas, his pastor, presiding.
Interment was in St. Basil's Cemetery. Graveside Military Services were accorded by members of McDermott Post No. 452 American Legion, Mildred, Pa., and by the U.S. Army Honor's detail.
