Shirley L. Beach, 84, o Laporte, PA passed away June 21, 2015 at the Highlands Care Center. Shirley was born October 27, 1930 daughter of the late Merritt and Sadie Belle (Breese) Gerould. She was a homemaker and enjoyed the time she spent with her family and friends. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Shirley’s interests included bowling, playing cards, jigsaw puzzles and camping.
At Shirley’s request graveside services will be private in the Union Cemetery, East Smithfield, PA. The Gerald W. Vickery Funeral Home, Troy, PA have been entrusted with arrangements.

Survivors include three daughters, Connie Beers, Columbia Cross Roads, Deborah Eighmey, Columbia Cross Roads, Cindy Oldroyd, Gillett, son and daughter-in-law, Douglas & Karen Beach, Columbia Cross Roads; sister, Betty Russick, East Smithfield; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents; sisters, Marjorie Gerould, Irene Hamilton, Bertha Brown, Ruth Morse, Gladys Maciel; brothers, Gordon, Clayton, Manley, Hubert and Carroll Gerould.
The family has asked that those wishing to pay it forward with an act of kindness in Shirley’s memory.
