Born December 1st, 1969 in Towanda, she was the daughter of Ronald and Donna (Morse) Carman.
Sheila was a graduate of Canton Area High School’s Class of 1988, after which she attended the Williamsport School of Commerce, graduating in 1991. Throughout most of her adult life she was employed at Troy Community Hospital.
She was married to Michael A. Hilton, with whom she raised two children.
Although somewhat quiet and shy, Sheila had a smile that could light up a room and went out of her way to help others. She also took great care of her appearance, as any professional should. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, crocheting and vacations at the seashore, and kept a collection of sand samples from beaches up and down the east coast.
She was a fan of country music, especially the music of Alan Jackson. Most of all, Sheila loved being with her family, playing games and enjoying good times.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Ruth & Harold Morse and paternal grandparents Helen and Donald Carman, as well as uncles James & William Morse and Richard & John Carman, and father-in-law Howard Hilton, Sr.
A celebration of Sheila’s life will be held Saturday, March 5th at Morse and Kleese Funeral Home, 94 N. Center St., with visitation from 1 PM to 2 PM. Service will be at 2 o’clock PM with Pastor Dylan Pepper officiating.
