Sandra L. “Sandy” Hartford, 75, Canton, passed away Thursday evening, January 4, 2018 at the Bradford County Manor. Sandra Lee Ellsworth was born in Elmira, NY February 11, 1942. A daughter of the late Clyde and Dorothy (Baxter) Ellsworth.
Sandy attended Troy Area High School and in earlier years was employed by Paper Magic in Troy. She married Earl Hartford on September 2, 1958, sharing 52 years of marriage until his passing.
In addition to the welfare of her home and family, Sandy especially loved time spent with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed spending the winters with Earl in Fort Mead, Fla. Sandy was well-known for being an avid bingo and card player.
Surviving are her son and fiancée; Randy Hartford (Laura Castle),Elmira, NY; daughter and son-in-law, Deborah (Robert) Smith, Canton; nine grandchildren: Justin Smith, Lakara Jackson, Justice Hurlburt Hartford, Tyrone Hartford, Joshua, Jade, Kevin, Andrew and Jacob Smith; three great grandchildren, Lariyah Jackson, Jakobi and Braxton Smith; dear friends, Phyllis Hibbs of Michigan, Susan Stull and Edna Byler, both of Canton; numerous nieces nephews and cousins.

A service to celebrate Sandy’s life will be held at a later date. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, consider a memorial in Sandra L. Hartford’s memory to the Green Free Library, 38 N. Center St., Canton, PA 17724.
