Rose was born in Armenia Township on July 10, 1918. She was a daughter of the late John and Anna (Kutz) Walcheski.
On Dec. 11, 1937 Rose married H. Herman Seeley in Canton. Together they owned and operated a dairy farm near Minnequa Springs in Canton Twp. until 1965.
Herman then established an excavating business before they retired in 1993.
Rose was a private, hard-working person who was a great help to her all husband’s endeavors. In addition to being a busy farm wife, she was a fabulous cook. She grew strawberries, tended large vegetable gardens yearly and canned.
Surviving are her daughter, Linda (Robert) Griffin, Canton; grandchildren, Michele (Steve) Deeghan, Mark (Stacy) Griffin, George Jr. (Luann) Seeley, Jack (Tina) Seeley Allen (April) Seeley; special great grandchildren, Tyler, Nathan, Kyle and Kelsey, also many great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband H. Herman on May 25, 1996; son George Seeley Sr., grandson Scott Seeley and six siblings; Bertha Elsbree, Clara Walcheski, John, Vince, Theodore and Frank Walcheski.
In keeping with Rose’s wishes, services will be private.
Burial will be in East Canton Cemetery.
