She was born August 8, 1928 to John and Olive (Boughton) Faulkner. She attended Canton area schools and graduated from Canton High School as a member of the Class of 1946.
She had a great love of music, and proudly played the bass drum in the high school marching band.
On September 18, 1946, Rosanne married Roland E. Morgan. They shared 47 years of married life until his passing in 1994. They raised four children and founded and operated the Pam-Lee Motel & Restaurant for many years.
Rosanne was a fabulous cook and baker. She loved travel, golf, reading and Penn State football. Rosanne worked as a secretary for the Canton Area School District for 33 years, with most of those years spent as secretary to the high school guidance counselor. She was “Mom Morgan” to hundreds of students during those years- giving hugs, drying tears, buying lunches and giving advice. She was a positive influence in so many lives.
In her later years health issues kept her mostly home bound. However, she had a steady circle of friends from the high school and community who visited her regularly and kept her informed of the goings on in the area. She treasured these visits because they meant that people hadn’t forgotten her.
Rosanne is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Mitchell and Barbara Morgan, Turbotville, son-in-law Barry Snyder, Ann Arbor, Mi., Nettie Morgan, Williamsport, an “adopted” daughter and son-in-law, Roberta and Jack Wood, Troy; grandchildren and their spouses; Clayton Snyder, Ann Arbor, Jamie and Mary Snyder, Lynnwood, WVA., Thomas and Heidi Morgan, Lancaster, Melissa and Daryl Machmer, Troy, Rhonda and Kenny Williams, Williamsport, Ryan Morgan, Mansfield, Juliana and Dan Mingle, Williamsport, Crispin Morgan of Turbotville; 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roland, daughters Pamela A. Morgan and Leila C Snyder, son Thomas O. Morgan and her special feline friend, “Smokey.”
