Prior to his employment with the U S Postal Service, he was employed as a machinist at Troy Machine and was a Meter Reader for the Borough of Troy. As the Mailman in Troy, Bob enjoyed all those that he delivered mail to and was especially fond of the many families he came in contact with over the years. He always was picking on the boys and girls along his mail route, calling the boys Suzie Popsaqualie and the girls Charlie. Bob had his own vocabulary and when asked how he was, his response was always, Copathetic!
