Robert Glendenning Ives, Jr. 68, of Troy, passed away on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at home. He was the loving husband of Denise (Shanley) Ives. Bob was born on July 6, 1950 in Philadelphia, PA son of the late Robert G. Ives, Sr. and Marianna (Toland) Ives of Philadelphia. Bob was a Renaissance Craftsman and life-long tinkerer. He was an expert carpenter, wood worker, and sleigh maker. Bob was a past member of the Troy Borough Council, took part in coffee groups and Lion’s Club, and enjoyed playing guitar, riding his motorcycle, and spending time on his boat.
Bob is survived by his wife Denise, his children: Robert G. Ives, III of Oneonta, NY, Adam C. (Jamie) Ives of Port Orange, FL, and Cara K. May of Troy, his grandchildren: Tyler Ives, Marley Ives, Isaiah May, Jamison Ives, and Wilder Ives, his brother John Ives of Colorado, his sister Barbara Ives of Philadelphia, several nieces and nephews, and his pets Annie and Meowsalot. He was preceded in death by his father Robert G. Ives, Sr.
