Robert C. "Bob" Prettyman, 78, of Williamsport and currently a resident of Valley View Nursing Center, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Dec. 13, 2017.
He was born in Wilmington, Del. on July 6, 1939, a son of Carroll and Anne (Cluff) Prettyman.
Bob received his undergraduate degree from Temple University and his masters degree from Millersville University. He served as a teacher, principal and assistant superintendent in the Towanda School District.
He also was a retired pastor of Faith Baptist Church in Canton.
Bob enjoyed reading the Bible and attending Bible study at Valley View. He attended Emmanuel Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.
His first wife, the fomer Mary Jane Rothermel, died March 30, 2002.

Surviving are his wife, the former Kathleen M. McQuillen; son, Brian A. Prettyman, Muncy; daughters, Amy L. Quattrini, Waverly, NY, Mary Beth Prettyman, Martinsburg, WV, Tammy L. (Kenneth) Carle, Towanda; step-daughters, Patricia Brinser, Oxford, AL and Leona (Edward) Johnson, Williamsport; 14 grandchildren; one great-grandson; brother, John (Katherine) Prettyman, Macon, GA; and sister, Faith (Steven) McVey, Sarasota, FL.
A funeral service was held at Crouse Funeral Home, Williamsport, Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2017, with Rev. David Bixler, pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church officiating, followed by burial at Wildwood Cemetery with military honors.
The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the activities fund at Valley View Nursing Center, 2140 Warrensville Road, Montoursville, PA 17754.
