Richard G. “Dick” Foust, 84, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2016 and Doris M. Foust, 81, passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2016 in Lakeland, FL. Richard was born October 24, 1931 in Windfall, and he and his loving wife moved to Fort Meade, FL from Canton in 1998.
He was a truck driver for Swayze Folding Box Co., and both Mr. and Mrs. Foust were of the Church of Christ faith.
Mr. Foust was a longtime member of the Masonic Lodge in Canton, and bowling, pool, cards, gardening and racing were his hobbies and pass times.
Doris M. Foust was born January 24, 1935 in Grover and was a homemaker for many years. Upon moving to Fort Meade, FL in 1998 with her husband, she became a much loved crossing guard for the students at Lewis Anna Woodbury Elementary School and she also enjoyed being an in-home nursing aid. Mrs. Foust was also a member of the Canton Eastern Star, Red Hatters and Women’s Club. Line dancing and crocheting were two of her favorite things to do in her spare time.
Inclusively, Mr. and Mrs. Foust are survived by their sons, Robert Foust, Fort Meade, FL, Randy Foust, Canton; daughters, Connie Shepard and husband Brian, Carlisle, PA, and Jo Ann Hall and husband Larry, Columbia Crossroads; grandchildren, Michael Shepard and wife Merrick, Brian L. Shepard and wife Kathy, Bradley Shepard and wife Denise, Jason Foust and wife Casey, Nathan Hall and wife Karen and Nicole Carey and husband Bill; sixteen great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Mr. Foust is also survived by his sister, Jane McMurray, Canton, and Mrs. Foust is also survived by her sisters, Marcella Buck, Canton, and Eloise Caseman, Shunk.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 20, at Morse & Kleese Funeral Home, 94 North Center St., Canton. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be in Windfall Cemetery.
