Born March 2nd, 1940 in Troy he was the son of Reuben W Barrett, Sr., and Myrtle V. (Perry) Barrett. Reuben was a man accustomed to hard work, and over the years he had worked for PennDOT, General Electric, the Leona Meat plant and for Bradford County as the caretaker of Sunfish Pond Park. But his profession of choice was logging. He enjoyed the feeling of independence that one feels when working close to nature. In his free time he enjoyed hunting, camping and wood working.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Reuben and Myrtle Barrett, brother Oliver Barrett, sister Margie Perry, sons John Barrett and David Barrett and daughter Annette Barrett.
A graveside service was held 11 o’clock A.M. Monday, August 20th, at the Harkness Cemetery on Springfield Rd. near Big Pond. (www.morseandkleesefuneralhome.com)
