Phillip F. Eiffert

   Phillip F. Eiffert, 86 of Columbia Cross Roads, Pa., went to be with his Lord on Thursday, Nov. 22, 2018 at Elmcroft of Mid-Valley in Peckville, Pa. He was the loving husband of the late Barbara (Smiley) Eiffert, who passed away Apr. 17, 2015.  The couple married Oct. 23, 1960 and had 54 happy years together.
  Phil was born on Aug. 19, 1932 in Troy, Pa., son of the late Lynn and Mary (Williams) Eiffert. He was a 1950 graduate of Troy High School.  After graduation, he worked as an inspector for American LaFrance for 20 years, and after became a local real estate agent and school bus driver.  Phil was a member of the Big Pond United Methodist Church, a charter and over 50 year member of the Big Pond Lion’s Club, where he held several leadership rolls, was a member of the Ondawa Grange, and the Monday Night Bowling League at Terrace Lanes.

   Phil is survived by his children: Betsy (Chuck) O’Connor of Aiken, S.C., Perry (Taci McGee) Eiffert of Lock Haven, Pa., and Matthew Eiffert of Cohocton, N.Y., his grandchildren: Chrissy, Joey, Stacie, Brynn, Blake, Keera, Sierra, and Conlan, his great grandchildren Haily, Derek, Harrison, and Kallie, his brothers Russell Eiffert of Flemington, N.J., and Merle (Barbara) Eiffert of Sylvania, Pa., his sister Elsie (Jerry) Ross of Troy, along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife Barbara.
Family and friends called from 6-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2018 at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 1093 West Main Street, Troy, Pa. The funeral service to honor Phil’s life was held at the conclusion of the visitation at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 27 at the funeral home with Phil’s pastor, Rev. Jennifer J. Wolf. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery at the convenience of Phil’s family.
