Peter James Cama, 31, Laurel Lake, Springfield Township, formerly of Towanda, passed away Saturday, September 26, 2015.
Peter was born in Towanda on March 20, 1984, the son of Dr. Joseph Cama and Laura Nance Cama.
He was a graduate of Towanda Area High School with the class of 2002 and continued his education in paramedic training at Corning Community College, Corning NY where he received his Associates Degree. Peter was employed as a paramedic for Memorial EMS in Towanda, Greater Valley EMS in Sayre and by Western Alliance Emergency Service in Troy.
Peter also served as a Deputy Coroner with the Bradford County Coroner’s Office and served as a volunteer firefighter.

While his career in emergency services kept him very busy, in his free time Peter loved outdoor pursuits and was devoted uncle to his young niece, Lily Cama, and nephew, Cole Nemer. Other family includes his parents, Dr. Joseph and Laura Cama, Towanda; brother and sister-in-law, Timothy and Jennifer Cama, Washington, DC; sister and brother-in-law, Rachel and Daniel Nemer, Philadelphia, PA, niece, Lily Cama and nephew, Cole Nemer as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was a member of the Trinity Church, Athens.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Maryott-Bowen Funeral Home 217 York Ave. Towanda. A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 1, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Christ Episcopal Church, Main St. Towanda,.
