Penny Ann, “P.J.” known to by family, was born April 24, 1969 in Williamsport a daughter of the late Ralph H. Chapman II and Theora F. (Wilson) Stahle. Penny enjoyed music and in younger years sang in her church’s choir. Following high school, she attended and graduated from the Empire Beauty School located in Williamsport. On August 16, 1997 she married her beloved partner, Robert “Sam” Palmer on top of Cedar Ridge in Canton Township. For several years, Penny assisted Sam as secretary/bookkeeper at the family’s business, Palmers Garage & Towing in Canton until declining health no longer permitted her to continue. Penny loved the outdoors and going for walks so to enjoy all that nature had to offer. She was a frog memorabilia collector and an avid reader. Most important throughout life was her strong devotion to family and the times spent caring for them, especially her grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents, grandparents, James and Nina Wilson, step mother, Debbie Chapman and sister in law; Kimberly Brown.
A private burial and service to celebrate Penny’s life will be held at the convenience of the family. Pepper Funeral Home & Cremation Facility, 578 Springbrook Dr., Canton is in trusted care of arrangements.
