Paul Revere Roby, Jr.

  Paul Revere Roby, Jr., Age 84, of 8399 Route 6, Troy, passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at the Bradford County Manor.
    Paul was born June 13, 1931 in Mansfield son of the late Paul Revere and Dorothy (Hindmarsh) Roby, Sr. Following graduation from high school Paul joined the US Army serving from 1948 to 1954 where he attained the rank of Sergeant. He served his country proudly during the Korean War. Following his discharge he was employed as a machinist and married the late Cora M. (Allen) Roby on April 20, 1959. He and Cora celebrated 56 years together prior to her passing on June 16, 2015.
    Family and friends are invited to call Saturday, December 19, 2015 from 10 AM to 11 AM at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 1093 West Main Street, Troy, PA. His funeral and committal service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 11 AM with Reverend Garry Zuber of the First Baptist Church of Troy officiating. Interment will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Troy.

     Paul was a retired machinist at Troy Iron Cast and Penn Troy where he made pewter. He enjoyed bowling at Terrace Lanes in Troy, hunting and playing card games with his family and friends. He was a very generous man and would help anyone who asked.
    Surviving are his devoted daughter and her forever friend, June Roby & Steven Reifler of Johnson City, NY, granddaughter, Nicole Roby of Nixa, MO, four sisters, Lucille Green of Troy, Robena Moore of Towanda, Jane Wilston of Towanda, Donna Greene of MN, nieces, nephews and friends.
    Paul was predeceased by his parents, his wife Cora M. Roby, a son, Staff Sergeant Gary L. Roby USMC, a sister, Henrietta Vermilya and his brother, John Roby.
    In lieu of flowers memorials in Paul’s memory may be made to the First Baptist Church of Troy, 160 Canton Street, Troy, PA 16947.
