Paul Allen Belawske was born on October 28, 1958 in Troy, PA. He was a son of the late John Raymond Belawske and Mable (Carl) Belawske Wightman.
Paul graduated from Canton High School with the class of 1976. He was employed by Canfords Manufacturing in Canton before moving to Nebraska. Paul appreciated the beauty of nature all his life and especially loved taking long walks, usually with Misty, his devoted dog.
He was a die-hard fan of NASCAR’S Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Junior. His football team was always the NY Jets. He also enjoyed jigsaw puzzles.
Paul and his father were the caretakers of Canton’s St. Michael’s Cemetery and then he continued with his brother for several years.
Paul was predeceased by his son, Mitchell Allen in 2008; infant son, Scott Michael; his father John in 1988; mother Mabel in 2011; brother, Carl Francis in 2009; aunt, Eleanor Schmouder in 1997 and brother-in-law, Gary Moretz in 2010.
Family will receive friends February 25, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Pepper Funeral Home, 578 Springbrook Dr., Canton. Deacon Bill Graham will officiate the celebration of Paul’s life at 1 p.m. Private burial will be in Canton’s St. Michael’s Cemetery.
