Jean grew up in Denver, CO and graduated from North High School in 1946. Following graduation, she was employed as a magazine sales representative selling subscriptions door to door. It was during this period of time that Jean met and married the love of her life, Charles McCoy, in October, 1948. They moved to Canton, PA and began their long life together.
In addition to raising their three children, Jean was the consummate homemaker and stay-at-home mom. Family and friends were Jean’s passion and delight. She loved to spend time with her family, cook, read and travel the country with Charles buying and selling old picture postcards at antique and collectible shows. She also enjoyed taking cruises with family and good friends. Jean lived in many places throughout her life including Tampa, FL, and Douglasville, Athens and Commerce, GA.
Jean is preceded in death by her daughter Cyndee and her husband of 66+ years, Charles. She is survived by her sister Francis of Everett, WA, brothers Edward and Delbert Branham of Denver, CO, sons Commander Kelly McCoy, USN, Retired, of Pace, FL, Dr. Bruce McCoy, of Palmetto, GA. and 5 grandchildren: Ryan Keiser, Alex Keiser, Kate McCoy Mills, Ben McCoy and Molly McCoy.
