Miriah Elizabeth (Wells) Harkness, 27, Gillett, beloved wife of Colton and mother to Aiden and Ava, passed away unexpectedly on April 2, 2018.
She was predeceased by her grandfathers, Charles Wells Sr. and Paul Lane; grandmother, Leona Lane; and great grandmother Wilma Freeman.
Surviving are her beautiful family: Colton, Aiden and Ava, of Gillett; her mother and step-father, Dawn (Lane) and Robert Griffith, Sayre; father and step-mother, Edwin and Laurie Wells, South Boston, Va.; grandmother, Darlene Wells; sister and brother-in-law, Nicole (Bortle) and Curtis Teeter, Ulster; sisters, Alexis Bortle, Waverly and Kaity Wells, Sayre; sister-in-law, Mariah Harkness, Sayre; brother-in-law, Taren Harkness, Gillett, sister-in-law, Kate Harkness and her beloved mother and father-in-law, Vickie and Shawn Harkness, East Smithfield as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family. Her nieces, Arianna, Olivia, Sophia, Hilary and Rory and nephews, Jackson and Harvey are especially going to miss their amazing Aunt Miriah.
We all feel her loss. With every hour of the day, we will remember her brightness, the brilliant warmth of her big smile, and especially the way she loved her family.
Miriah was the best mother her children could ask for and it is with the heaviest of hearts that we not say goodbye, but bid a temporary farewell, to one of the best of us.
Funeral services were held, April 6, at Blauvelt Funeral Home, Waverly, NY. with Pastor Jennifer Wolf officiating.
