Born on October 30, 1950, in Canton. Max was one of five children of the late Charles and Grace (Spencer) Mott. After graduating from Canton Area High School, he obtained a Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering from Penn State University.
On March 6, 1971, he married the love of his life, Beverly (Packard). They established their home in Bucks County, where they proudly raised their four children. Max began his professional career with PKF Construction. After ten years, he left PKF to work with his brother, Sam, as an owner and Vice President of Stone Hill Contracting (SHC). After 25 successful years with SHC, he retired to fulfill his dream of traveling.
Max is survived by his wife of 44 years, Beverly Mott; four children: Tami (Robert) Shoemaker of Coopersburg, PA; Bryan (Pamela) Mott, Quakertown, PA; Becky (Jesse Anderson) Dimmick, Hilltown, PA; Charles (Adrienne) Mott, Sellersville, PA; 12 grandchildren: Brandie, Max, Bobby, Zach, Katey, CJ, Lia, Joie, Gavin, Jarrett, Jianna, Kyla; two brothers and two sisters: Samuel (Linda) Mott, Chalfont, PA; Charlene (Frank) Corby, Elizabethtown, PA; Carol (Jim) Fitch, Canton, PA; John (Brenda) Mott, Williamsport, PA; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Max’s funeral service will be 11:00 am Thursday, April 2, at the Shelly Funeral Home, Easton and Keller’s Church roads, Plumsteadville where the family will receive friends 9-11:00 a.m.
Locally, the family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to noon April 6, at the Pepper Funeral Home, Springbrook Dr. in Canton. Pastor Ron Bly will officiate the funeral service at 12 noon at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Mott Cemetery in LeRoy.
