Marvin was known for his strong work ethic. He operated a dairy farm in Springfield Township for many years and was a Rural Mail Carrier retiring from his postal career following 32 years of service and completely retiring at the age of 70.
Marvin was predeceased by his loving wives Esther (Ameigh) Berry and Edith Watkins Berry. He was a member of the Berrytown Wesleyan Church and enjoyed reading, studying the bible and being health conscious. Marvin was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather to his family and will be deeply missed.
Funeral services were held on April 11, at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc., Troy, with Reverend Patrick Kelly of the Berrytown Wesleyan Church officiating.
Interment followed in Checkerville Cemetery.
Surviving are children, Marilyn (Carl) McClelland, Kathleen (Duane) Leonard, David (Dianne) Berry all of Columbia Cross Roads, Dawn Hollenback, Gillett; step-children Ruth (Bob) Garrison,Troy, Judy Tarbox, Parrish, FL, Virginia (Marvin) Martin, Concord, NC, Howard (Linda) Watkins, Troy; eleven grandchildren; twenty five great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Bernice Berry of FL, several nieces, nephews and friends.
