Born November 15, 1934 in Blossburg, Martin John was a son of the late Frank and Mary Agnes (Norczyk) Mahosky. He was a 1952 graduate of Blossburg High School. Martin founded M & M Wood Products, Inc. in Morris Run in 1976 and remained active in the business until retiring in 1997. On March 15, 1985, he married the former Madeleine “Madge” Stuchul in Mansfield. Marty was a member of Morris Run’s St. Joseph’s Catholic Church for many years. Most recently, he attended St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Ralston. Marty enjoyed daily breakfasts out with friends and traveling, taking many bus trips throughout the United States.
Surviving are his wife of 30 years, Madge; children, Raymond Mahosky, Tioga, Greg (Cecelia) Mahosky, Toledo, OH, Thomas (Theresa) Mahosky and Theresa (John) Lamonski, Blossburg; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; three stepchildren, Brenda (Terry) Mead, Roaring Branch, Michelle (John) Sauer, Lititz, PA and BJ (Christine) Bebble, Lancaster, PA; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; three siblings, Marge (Dale) Morgan, Morris Run, Joe Mahosky, Williamsport and Lenny (Rose) Mahosky, Blossburg.; sisters-in-law, Debbie Synder and Margie (Randy) Steffy all of Dayton, PA; special friends, Dean Kilborn and Keith Wilcox both of Canton; the mother of his children, Arletta Cromer, Wellsboro; several nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and dear friends.
He was predeceased by an infant son, Phillip and sister, Theresa Carlson.
Calling hours are from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Apr. 30 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Blossburg followed by a memorial service officiated by Father Michael McCormick. Burial will be private.
