Born June 12, 1920 in Granville Center, Marrian Elizabeth was the youngest of nine children in the family of the late George and Daisy (Mann) Cole.
She married Charles Edgar Castle and they made their home on the Castle family dairy farm near East Canton.
A homemaker and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Marrian also was a farmwife who helped with the daily milking. She was blessed with a strong work ethic and remained active and engaged all her life.
Marrian was a member of the East Canton United Methodist Church, the Bradford/Sullivan Pomona Grange No. 23 and a 50-year plus member of the Beech Flats Grange No. 336. She will be lovingly remembered for her trips to South Mountain to pick wild huckleberries and for being the “gadget lady” who wanted to have all the newest ones.
Marrian also loved her cats and enjoyed pampering them.
She was predeceased by Charles, her husband of nearly 50 years, on May 27, 2003 and eight siblings.
Funeral service will be held on February 21, at Pepper Funeral Home and Cremation Facility, with Rev. Dr. Dianne H. Bentley officiating the funeral service with Rev. Jasper Smith assisting.
