"Softly in the morning, you heard a gentle call, you took the hand God offered you and quietly left us all…" Mae E. Keeney, 65, Athens, passed away peacefully at the Vestal Park Nursing Center, February 2, 2016 following a brief period of declining health.
Born on June 18, 1950 in Waverly, NY she was a daughter of the late Lance O. and Helen M. (Richardson) Bogart.
A loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Mae treasured the time spent with her family. She also enjoyed gardening, crocheting, knitting, dancing and visiting Casinos. She will be forever remembered and forever missed.

Surviving are children, daughters and son-in-law: Candy and Michael Jump, Tioga Center; Jodi White and Richard Martin of PA; son and daughter-in-law: Danniel and Lindsay Bogart, Troy; special grandchildren: Ashley, Emmett, Tahira-Mae, Michael, Aaron, Bradley, Kaleb, Kaden; great granddaughter Devon and great grandson Peyton; brothers and sisters-in-law: Lance Oscar (Deborah) Bogart, II, Tioga Center; George (Ginny) Bogart of PA; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Mae was predeceased by parents Lance O. and Helen Bogart; companion Emmett Hayford; sister Martha Bell (Bogart) Johnson.
A memorial service and celebration of her life was held Feb. 5 at the Sutfin Funeral Home, with Pastor Joshua Payne, officiating.
