Lynn L. Comfort, Jr. (Shorty) age 79 of Corryton, TN passed away December 24, 2017.
Born in Elmira, NY on March 20, 1938. Lynn worked for Ward LaFrance, building fire trucks, for 25 years before moving to Knoxville, TN. He worked as a school bus driver for 18 years and mowed lawns before retirement. Shorty loved people and never met a stranger. He loved music and dancing.
He is preceded in death by his parents Alverta and Lynn Comfort and brother Phillip.
Survived by his wife, Grace, of 60 years. Daughters are Lynda (Dan) Homet from Granville Summit, and Sandra (Kendall) Marine of Knoxville, TN. Sons are Steven Comfort from Gillett and Thomas Comfort from Knoxville, TN. Grandchildren are Joshua (Becky) Homet, Jordan (Raelyn) Homet, Brittany (Ethan) Jandreau, Alyssa (Lucas) Anthony, Krista (Tim) Baker, McKenna Comfort, Alex Dailey, Adam Marine and five great grandchildren. His surviving brothers are Alan (Lillian) Comfort and Ronald Comfort, Elmira, NY. Sisters-in-law – Pauline Burgess of Burlington, PA, Faye Rathbun, Fort Meyers, FL, Mertie (Dale) Shedden, Troy, and Peggy Comfort, Pine City, NY.
