Lucille Ellen was born June 20, 1931 in Gray Valley near Sylvania, PA, the only daughter of the late Wilson Delos and Hilda (Ripley) Giles.
Lucy married Delbert “Delly” Brown on July 13, 1965. She was a member of Windfall Methodist Church and later attended the Fellowship Bible Church in Troy.
Family always came first in Lucy’s life. She will be lovingly remembered as the matriarch of the family who kept everything running smoothly. Lucy enjoyed many interests in her life; favorites included times shared with her children and grandchildren, camping throughout the area and conversations around the campfire with family and friends. Most recently, for 15 years she enjoyed working and was a great help in establishing Brown’s Pharmacy with locations in Canton and Troy.
She was predeceased by a sister-in-law and brothers-in-law; Virginia Thomas, Richard Gustin and Robert White also her father-in-law and mother-in-law; John and Catherine Vivian Brown.
Friends are invited to call 10 – 11 A.M. Saturday, May 26, at Fellowship Bible Church, Mud Creek Rd, Troy. Pastor Mark Steckiel will officiate a celebration of Lucy’s life at 11 A.M.
Burial in Windfall Cemetery will be at a later date.
