Louise was born on February 1, 1934 in Bonhamtown, New Jersey. She was one of seven children born to June E. Butler and Rene Fontaine.
Louise followed her husband on his military assignments through the early years of their marriage to Mississippi, South Carolina, Massachusetts and Georgia. She managed several restaurants throughout her life. She and Robert owned and operated Mom's Truck Stop in Ralston, Pennsylvania in the early seventies.
Louise loved life, and her family was the center of her world. When she was not busy baking homemade bread and sticky buns she was gardening and canning her home grown vegetables and fruit. She was a skilled seamstress, making clothes for her children and various gifts for her grandchildren. Her work ethic never changed though out all her years of employment at Carey McFalls, Sylvania, Grumman, Kellogg's and Frito-Lay.
In her later years Louise lived in Troy, Pa and attended the United Methodist Church there.
Louise is predeceased by her parents and brothers William and Robert.
She is survived by her loving children Anita Drislane (Tom), Roberta Wood (Jack), Robert Jr. (Marlene),Vera Kuzyk (Joel), and daughter-in-law Ruth Moon. She cherished and was cherished by her precious granddaughters Stacy Griffin (Mark), Mary Stugart Millheim (Steve), Becky Burrous (Aaron), Krista Drislane, Adrianne Sorensen (Benn), Kate Smith (Joel), Rachel Moon, and Kristina Kuzyk. She welcomed with open arms every one of her eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson. In addition she is survived by her brother John Fontaine and sisters Jacqueline Guisewhite and Anita Moon (Sylvester) as well as several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of life on April 17 from the hours of 10 AM to 12 PM at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 1093 West Main Street, Troy, PA.
Her interment will folllow later that day at 4 PM in Barbours Cemetery, Barbours, PA with Rev. Anne Canfield officiating.
