Leslie Elwyn was born on September 13, 1926 near Mt. Pisgah, a son of the late H. Elwyn and Myra (Losey) Wilber.
Mr. Wilber honorably served his county during WWII and the Korean War with the U.S. Navy earning the rank of Baker Third Class.
He was a hard working man and was employed with different farming, construction and other various businesses throughout the area.
Leslie loved spending time with his grandchildren and being outdoors, enjoying nature, was always a favorite.
Surviving are children, Donald (and Louise) Wilber, Troy, Richard Wilber, State College, Jerry (and Barb) Wilber, Pine City NY, Joyce (and Joe) Nichols, Lawrenceville, Leslie Jr. (and Ronda) Wilber, Troy; several grandchildren; sister, Beverly (and Harland) Evans, Mosherville; son in law, Steven Morrel, Horseheads NY; sister-in-law, Jeanie Wilber, Coryland and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his wife of 40 years, Donna Rae (Williamson) Wilber; daughter, Joann Morrel; grandson, Daniel Wilber; brothers, Richard (and Delores) Wilber and Capt. Walter Eugene Wilber.
A memorial service was held July 15 at the Pepper Funeral Home, in Canton.
Burial to be held in Troy’s Glenwood Cemetery at a later date.
