Kimberly was born on July 30, 1969 in Springfield, Ohio, daughter of the late Brenda L. (Dillard) Linson and Eugene A. Linson of Springfield. She was a graduate of Northeastern High School, earned her Elementary Education Degree from Warner University in Lake Wales, FL, and an Associates in Registered Nursing Degree from Butler County Community College in Butler, PA. After marrying Dan, Kimberly taught kindergarten, decided to become a nurse, and nursed for several places in Butler.
When she and Dan moved to Red Lion, York County, PA, she taught 4th grade at Red Lion Christian Academy. When Dan’s job moved them to Mansfield and finally Troy, PA, Kimberly worked for Martha Lloyd Community Services, Futures, and Bayada Nurses. Kimberly enjoyed shopping, traveling, and was a “Scrap Booking Fanatic”. Some of her favorite times were when she would tell stories of her childhood and all the trouble she and her brother Steve would get into.
Surviving are her loving husband Dan; her children: Brandt A. Gilliland, Mackenzie P. (Travis) Earle, Brendal E. Gilliland, Landon B. Gilliland, Tauryn A. Gilliland, Rowyn K. Gilliland, and Baelin Ross Gilliland, all of Troy; her “little angel” and grandson Haven Walter Earle; father Eugene (Marilyn) Linson, Springfield, OH, her brother Steven (Lennie) Linson of Springfield, OH, and their son Eli, Dan’s parents; his sisters and their children, and all her extended family.
Kimberly was preceded in death by her best friend and mother Brenda L. Linson who passed away on May 17, 2010.
Family and friends are welcome to call from 12:00-1:00 pm on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at the First United Methodist Church of Troy 1214 Redington Ave. Troy, PA 16947. The Memorial Celebration of Kimberly’s life will be held after the visitation at 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 9th at the church with Rev. Joshua Davinsizer officiating. Dan’s employer and friends at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 1093 West Main Street Troy, PA have been entrusted with arrangements.
