She was a savvy businesswoman, the owner of Kim’s Salon, and a successful cosmetologist in the Canton area for almost 30 years. She was a member of the Canton Moose Lodge and an active member in the Women’s Auxiliary at the Canton American Legion where she started the cancer care packages for local residents battling cancer. Kim was also an active member of the Grover Church of Christ. Her faith deepened while going through personal battles. She loved participating in their Choirs and served others through various supportive roles.
Surviving are her mother and step father; Kathlene (Dale) Best of Canton, Pa., her father and step mother; Robert (Ruth) Palmer of Canton, Pa., Daughters; Rebecca (Copy) Ragan of Montoursville, Pa., and Trisha Brown of Canton, Pa., brothers; Sam (Penny) Palmer of Canton, Pa., Ron (Linda) Palmer of Lone Oak, Texas., sister; Bobbie Jean (John) Bassett of Throop, Pa., and a grandson; Chance Ragan “Little Man” of Montoursville, Pa., and numerous special friends.
Kim’s radiant smile will always be in our hearts and memories.
A memorial service to honor Kim’s life was held Saturday, Apr. 20, 2019 at 11 a.m at Pepper Funeral Home in Canton. Pastor Will Strunk officiated the service. There were no calling hours prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Kim’s name to the Canton Legion Auxiliary Cancer Fund, 465 Springbrook Drive, Canton, Pa. 17724 or to the Grover Church of Christ 489 Grover Rd., Grover, Pa. 17735.
