Kenny was a man blessed with a strong work ethic. Throughout his adult life, he was a tractor-trailer driver, construction worker and a farm hand until a disability necessitated his early retirement.
Kenny was a quiet man with the patience of a saint. He made friends easily and was always ready for some good-natured ribbing. He was also fond of sports on television. Among his favorites were Yankees baseball, Giants football and NASCAR. He was an avid fan of the late Dale Earnhardt Sr.
Most importantly, he loved his grandchildren and spared no expense in doting upon them. Although life had dealt him several severe blows, he was able to overcome them with grace and fortitude.
He is survived by his mother, Susie (& Christopher) Ott of Canton, sons Kenneth (& Noelle) Brown, Jr., of Williamsport, Trey Ackley of Canton, daughters Bonnie Ellers of Athens, Becky (& Greg) Leljedal of Columbia Cross Roads, Casey Brown of Canton, brother John (& Apryl) Lowry of Jersey Shore, sisters Christine (& Albert) Kertis of Palmyra, Pa., Carol Bailey (& Milford Carpenter) of Canton, Rose (& Mark) Hamilton of Shunk, ex-wife Alice Brown of Canton and ten grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, James D. Walburn.
Visitation was 11 a.m. to noon, Friday, Sept. 28 at Morse & Kleese Funeral Home, 94 N. Center St., Canton, Pa., 17724. Service was at noon. Elder Ben Stone officiated. Interment followed in Grover Cemetery.
