Kathy (Lyon) Stiner, 59, Canton, PA. passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, June 17, 2016.
Kathy Jean Lyon was born July 17, 1956 in Elmira, NY, the only daughter of the late Joanne (Bassett) Lyon and Albert “A.J.” Lyon, Jr. She was a 1974 graduate of Canton High School.
Following graduation she was employed by Canton Manufacturing for many years prior to its closure. Most recently, Kathy was employed with Cargill in Wyalusing, PA.
Family was always number one in Kathy’s life. Especially important were times she shared with her children and grandchildren. Kathy was a very giving and caring person, almost to a fault. Her happy and go lucky attitude could always bring a smile to your face. She was a wonderful cook and was gifted with a strong work ethic.

Kathy is survived by children, Angela (and James) Campbell, Jackson, Mich., Doug Stiner (his companion, Amanda Sheneman), Norristown, PA, Jordan Stiner (his fiancée, Amber Latta, Sellersville, PA; five grandchildren; Bailey Helmick, Maddy and Emma Campbell, Salem and Norah Stiner; three brothers, Gary Lyon, Brad (and Tammy) Lyon all of Canton, Mark (and Susan) Lyon, Oakdale, CA; two aunts, Barb Perry, Canton and Pat Mott, Blooming Glen, PA; several nieces, nephews, cousins and several dear friends including Jackie Matthews, Canton.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Bob Lyon in 1976.
The family invites friends to call 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 25, at Pepper Funeral Home, 578 Springbrook Dr. Canton. Rev. Jasper Smith will officiate the memorial service to honor Kathy’s life at noon.
A private family burial will be in East Canton Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish may consider a memorial to the Canton War Memorial Pool, c/o P.O. Box 4, Canton, PA 17724.
