Beverly Leljedal, 73, life-long resident of Powell, and the beloved wife of Edward passed away peacefully at home on Saturday morning July 25, 2015.
Born December 26, 1941 at the family home in Powell, Beverly Ann was one of two children of the late Thelbert and Hazel (Gleason) Wright. After attending the Powell School, she graduated from Towanda High School with the class of 1960.

On July 1, 1961, she married Edward E. Leljedal at Overton’s Catholic Church. They shared 54 wonderful years and raised six children. Bev was employed at the Ames Store in Towanda for a time and later worked as a direct care worker at Martha Lloyd, Inc. in Troy. Bev enjoyed times shared with family, especially her grandchildren. She loved to read, was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys, NY Yankee’s and Jeff Gordon fan and was also known to pamper her dogs, “Rebel Rouzer” and “Candy Sue”.
Surviving is her husband Ed; children, Chauntey Leljedal (Joe Shepler), Terrance (Lisa) Leljedal, Dianna (Dan) Bolt, Wendy Smith (Kevin Ball), Gregory (Becky) Leljedal and Amanda (Rodney) Hartford; eighteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; special aunt, Mary Gleason of Trumansburg, NY; a sister-in-law, Patricia Dibble of Terra Haute, IN; dear friends, Bill and Gloria Johnson of Powell and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Beverly was predeceased by her father in 1990, her mother in 1992, her brother, Thelbert “Bill” Wright in 2003; three grandchildren, Danielle Bolt in 1998, Aiden Thelbert Leljedal in 2006 and Allison Hazel Leljedal in 2012.
It was Beverly’s request that a private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, consider a memorial in her name to the American Lung Association, c/o Marywood University, 2300 Adams Ave. Scranton, PA 18509.
