John Elwin was born September 20, 1965 in Troy.  He was the beloved only son of Elwin “Skip” and Leatrice “Cookie” (Spencer) Caseman of Columbia Cross Roads.
John was a 1984 graduate of Canton High School.  He worked for Canton’s Canford Manufacturing for 28 years before most recently driving truck for H. Rockwell and Sons Feed Mill; a position that he loved.
John was an avid hunter and member of the NRA.  He was partial to John Deere Tractors and was a member of the Endless Mountains Antique Tractor and Machinery Assoc.   A huge NASCAR fan, John supported Dale Earnhardt Jr.  He also enjoyed many camping trips to Penn’s Cave and to Benezette, PA to watch the elk.

In addition to his parents, John is survived by his grandmother, Adele Caseman, Springfield; step-grandmother, Elizabeth Spencer, Glouceser, VA; aunts and uncles, Donna and Jerome Mase, Lodi, NY and Connie and Larry Forrest, Towanda; six close cousins, Steven Moretz, Lodi; Laurie (Vince) Haduck, Corning; Tracy Young, (Jeff Saxon), Ronda (Darin) Johnson, Jody (Tammy) Forrest and Kim (Jeremy) Robinson all of Towanda; also many great aunts and uncles and numerous cousins.
He was predeceased by paternal grandfather, Nelson Caseman; maternal grandparents, Carl and Harriett Spencer and cousins, Kayla Young and Heather Mase.
Family and Friends are invited  to attend a memorial service to honor John’s life 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 14, 2016 at his home in Columbia Cross Roads (Springfield Twp.) Those who wish may consider a memorial in his name to the Troy First Baptist Church, 579 Canton St. Troy, PA 16947 or to the Musella Foundation, 1100 Peninsula Blvd. Hewlett, NY 11557 with a notation of “Rosenbaum GBM Research Fund”.  Pepper Funeral Home in Canton is assisting the family with arrangements.
