Carol was born August 6, 1931 in Hillsgrove, PA, a daughter of the late Otto and Marian (Rightmire) Little and step mother, Mariam Little.
She was a 1949 graduate of Benton High School. Carol attended Lycoming College in Williamsport and graduated from Mansfield University with a Bachelors degree in Education.
She was married to James H. Rockwell for 63 years before his passing on April 17, 2017.
Carol owned and operated a fabric shop in Canton for several years. She made beautiful quilts and enjoyed knitting and reading. Carol was a very knowledgeable person who enjoyed many interests.
She was a big fan of Fox News and always appreciated a good discussion about politics. She loved to play tennis; Carol and Jim would regularly play tennis in Williamsport during the winters. They were also able to travel extensively, especially enjoying river cruises.
In addition to her devoted husband Jim, she was predeceased by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; Esther Little, James Clark, Carol R. Rockwell, Saxton Palmeter and Martin Varney (Helen) Rockwell.
Calling hours are 2 – 3 P.M. Saturday, Feb. 3, at Pepper Funeral Home & Cremation Facility, 578 Springbrook Dr. Canton. Rev. Duane Taylor will officiate the funeral and committal services at 3 P.M.
