Janice was born on March 2, 1920 in East Troy, PA, daughter of the late Luther and Leota (Baxter) Van Horn. She was a 1937 graduate of Troy High School and for many years was the secretary for both Wrisley Excavating and Wrisley Construction. Janice was a member of the West Burlington United Methodist Church, the church’s Methodist Women’s group, and enjoyed knitting and homemaking.
Surviving are her children: Luther (Linda) Wrisley, and Jacob (Sherry) Wrisley all of Troy, Ann Wrisley of North Carolina, Fred (Donna) Wrisley, Covington, Kathy (Brent) Skinner, Waverly, NY, and Chris Wrisley, Troy, 12 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; sisters: Anna Mary Hulslander, East Smithfield, PA, Jean Randall, Troy, and Marcia (Henry) Martin, Granville, PA, along with several nieces and nephews.
Janice is preceded in death by her parents, her husband E.J., and her sister Christine Dunbar.
Family and friends are welcome to call from 11:00 am-1:00 pm on Friday, May 22, 2015 at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 1093 West Main Street, Troy, PA. Service and burial will be private and at the convenience of Janice’s family.
