Janet A. Brown, 80, of Shunk, passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at the Highlands Home in Laporte.
Janet Arlene Foster Brown was born in Wheelerville on April 25, 1934. She was a daughter of the late Glen and Belle (Lewis) Foster and the wife of Roy Glen Brown, Sr. who passed away Oct. 25, 1987. Janet enjoyed being a stay-at-home wife and mother. She especially loved being part of her children and grandchildren’s lives. She was a big fan of Nascar’s Jimmy Johnson and Eagles Football. Janet was also known to enjoy pampering her pets.

Surviving are her son, Roy Jr. (Vickie) Brown of Shunk; stepson, Howard “Skip” (Vonda) Brown of Benton; six grandchildren, Wendy (Alan) Daugherty of Forksville, Lori Seeley (Fiancé Chris Williams) of Shunk, Kris Nichols of Florida, Sonya (John) Hipple, Bradley (Kate) Nichols and Brenda (Jon) Harder all of Muncy; seven great grandchildren, a step-great granddaughter and a great great grandson; daughter-in-law, Carol Brown of Canton and former daughter-in-law, Gloria Baggot of Florida; special niece and nephew, Marilyn Brown and Jerrod Brown both of Shunk; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Janet also leaves her feline companion, Daisy.
She was predeceased by husband Roy, her son Lawrence “Larry” Brown and sister, Doris Lawrence.
As per Janet’s wishes, there will be no services. Burial in Brown Cemetery will be at a later date.
