He was born April 2, 1951, in Blossburg, son of the late George and Barbara (Houghtaling) Alexander.
Jim owned and operated a scrap yard at his home for over 20 years. He worked as a Truck Driver, for many years driving a logging truck. Up until the last few years, he was an avid roller skater.
He was a man of many hobbies that he was passionate about, he enjoyed dancing, riding motorcycles, snowmobiling, camping, boating, ATV riding, and antiquing. One of his greatest pleasures in life was taking his children and grandchildren to all the different amusement parks. For the last 6 years, Jim loved traveling with his wife, Lisa, all over the United States. Prior to their 20th wedding anniversary, they had visited 48 states. For their anniversary, Jim took Lisa to Hawaii to celebrate, the only state they did not visit was Alaska.
One of his prized possessions was his 2017 Corvette, promptly named as the "Batmobile" by his grandson. He really enjoyed taking part in the Towanda Halloween Parade dressed as "Batman" with his grandson sidekick, "Robin" in their "Batmobile." His outlook of embracing and enjoying life, was known to all and he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
