Harriet Davis Haire passed away peacefully at the home of her son, Davis in Meshoppen, PA on July 22, 2015.
She was born at the family home in Neath, PA on November 13, 1922. She was the daughter of Albert M. and Mary J. Davis. Harriet graduated from LeRaysville High School in LeRaysville, PA. After high school, she graduated from Ridley Lowell Business School, Binghamton, NY.
She worked at the Montrose Independent newspaper until her marriage on June 19, 1948 to Vernon A. Haire of Lawton, PA. They had 43 happy years together until his passing in January of 1991. They together raised two sons and she was a lifelong member of the Neath Welsh Congregational Church.

Harriet enjoyed flower gardening, raising Angora goats, and especially enjoyed knitting.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law; Richard V. & Judy L. Haire, LeRaysville, PA, Dr. Davis C. Haire, Meshoppen, PA; grandchildren; Melissa Bennett, Mary Haire, Marshall Haire, Davis C. Haire Jr., Nicola Haire; great grandchildren; Brody, Myles & Sophie Bennett, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, parents, sisters, Carmelita & Clifton King, Eloise & Laurence Bunnell, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Oliver & Ginny Haire, Emory & Martha Haire, Orville & Leona Haire, Wright & Eula Giffin and Vanette & Venita Alderson.
Funeral service was held July 27, at the Neath Welsh Congregational Church, Neath, PA.
Interment followed in Neath Cemetery.
