Harold Bronson

4/19/2016

Harold W. Bronson, age 68, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre. The son of the late Alfred and Edna (Weaver) Bronson, he was born February 14, 1948 in Sayre.
He was a kind soul, always doing for others. He could be found driving friends and acquaintances to doctor appointments and running errands. Harold enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved going to yard sales, collecting antiques, playing cards, and just spending time with family.
After graduating from Towanda High School, Harold served in the United States Army and was stationed in Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas. Over the years, he worked for Kennedy Valve, Taylor & McCarty’s, and Masonite and was self-employed as a landscaper and groundskeeper.
Surviving are two daughters, Deanna (Mark) Potter of Ulster, Colleen (Joel) Mullins of East Earl; former wife, Cherie Bronson of Burlington; grandchildren Andrew and Melissa (Bristin Robinson) Potter, Erynn and Kaitlyn Mullins; nieces and nephews Leslie (Diane) Isbell, Cathey Burlingame, Steve (Kate) Isbell, Allissa (William) Senn, Ted (Janet) Isbell, Deborah Roe, Gwen (Steve) Brion, Jason (Jennifer) Allen, Ryan (Teresa) Allen, and Matthew (Pamela) Allen; and close friends, Brad and Dan.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Edna Bronson, dear sisters Aileen (Clarence) Isbell and Margaret (Ivan) Teeter, his beloved brother and best friend, Thomas (Betty) Bronson, and special niece, Audrey (Jerry) Allen.
A gathering of friends and family will take place at the Saco Hill Church, Covered Bridge Road, Ulster, on Saturday, April 23, at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Harold’s memory to the Bradford County Humane Society P.O. Box 179, Route 220, Ulster, PA 18850 or the Animal Care Sanctuary P.O. Box A, East Smithfield, PA 18817.   Memories and condolences may be expressed by visiting www.bowenfuneralhomes.com.
