Born June 29, 1920 in Gamble Township, PA near Rose Valley, Glenn was a son of the late Joseph and Edith (Sellers) Pratt. After graduating from Ralston High School, he served our country in the U.S. Army during WWII. Glenn earned the rank of Corporal and saw action with the 283rd Field Artillery Battalion in Normandy, Northern France, The Rhineland and Central Europe Campaigns including The Battle of the Bulge.
Glenn was employed by Litton Industries in Williamsport for many years until retiring in 1984.
On June 23, 1961, he married the former Margaret Richards. They shared 44 years together before her passing on Dec. 25, 2005. Glenn enjoyed woodworking and tending his gardens. He was a member of the Wheel Inn Club in Roaring Branch.
Surviving are four children; Rose Ann Schaeffer of Mascotte, FL, Mary Jane (Robert) Spencer of Trout Run, David L. (Sharon) Myers of Roaring Branch and Dean W. Myers of Williamsport; 13 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; also a special niece, Linda Heitsenrether of Williamsport.
In addition to his beloved wife Margaret, Glenn was predeceased by his sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Paul Peterson.
A graveside service will be held at Pennsdale Cemetery on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 1 p.m. with military honors accorded.
In lieu of flowers, consider a memorial to Ralston Vol. Fire Company at P.O. Box 1 or to the Ralston United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 99 both in Ralston, PA 17763.
