On the morning of Thursday, March 31st, 2016, Geraldine Mary (Morgan) Rathbun of East Troy passed away quietly at her residence. She was 91 years of age. When she was young her musically talented family formed a band which performed for square dances at a family-owned dance hall. She spent one day per week baking bread, pies, cookies and sticky buns for sale to the public. She was very handy at crafts as well as constructing with wood, always building things to make her home more charming. She loved to sew, and made many of her children’s clothes. In more recent years she enjoyed making ornamental jewelry from glass beads. She was also a member of the Canton Women Of The Moose and the First Christian Church of Alba. Geraldine was a woman with a strong faith in the Lord and a generous heart toward her fellow human beings. She raised five children of her own, but was always willing to take in others who needed a temporary home. Geraldine is survived by her daughters Imogene McNeal of Troy, Mary (Selleck) Henderson and husband George of Yoe, Pa. Debra (Selleck) Welch and husband Dennis , Gail (Selleck) Mattocks and husband David and daughter-in-law Beverly Selleck, all of Troy, siblings Gertrude Robinson, Marjorie (& Phillip) Doud, Richard Morgan, Ronald (& Linda) Morgan, sisters-in-law Deanna Morgan and Myrtle Morgan, 13 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
